Back in the day most women didn't drive they were just to name on the log book. Keep in mind it's more expensive to feed and maintain two people out on the road. And when you get mad at him you ain't got anywhere to go and when he gets mad at you he doesn't have anywhere to go truck can get really small. But good luck

They say “don’t go swimming alone”. You should go with him. It’s nice to have someone check the right hand side of the truck once in a while.

So, in the nearly 13 years since this thread started, I wonder how the OP's marriage worked out? does she still ride with him? Did they decide after a few weeks that the ride-along wasn't a good idea? Are they now divorced, since 'the road' is the only wife the husband could keep? I wonder.....

I ride along with my husband for 2 years now. I do his paperwork, I’m his extra set of eyes especially when he is backing into some of these horrible docks, Plan our stops and cook our meals. If you go keep yourself busy. But do expect to get on each other’s nerves now and then. Fight the good fight and then drop it. Tomorrow is a new day. As long as your marriage can take it I say go. It is quite an experience
