So, which of the companies don't have cams?
For those of you working at companies with cameras, how likely would it be that someone in the office calls you out for fiddling with the radio or drinking from your mug or perhaps munching on a breakfast burrito while driving? -
No cams at Indian River. We only do food grade though. Occasional hazmat, but it's citrus oil and alcohol, nothing nasty.
-
I've driven for a few companies with driver facing cams. Two of them allowed drivers to cover the driver facing cam. The third, the cams were only activated during an incident, such as hard braking, etc. I never had any trouble of any kind with it.Just passing by Thanks this.

I live in Clovis, CA near Fresno. Are they hiring and paying that well out here?
-
I don’t know, the only three locations that I know that got the raise was Pittsburg, Benicia (Co2), and Galt
GreyBeardGuy Thanks this. -
They’re desperate because they’ll fire a driver over the smallest incident. No one wants to me micro managed to death.slim shady Thanks this.

didnt know that sir… we had a driver hired on same day as me hit something on 4 different occasions……. He was fired on the fourth one about 7 months ago, had another driver “clock in” BEFORE he got to work, (about an hour late to work each day) and he was only fired after doing it for a year……. Had another driver (former Airgas) get fired after his SECOND cell phone while driving incident (had it running through the Bluetooth radio I heard) ….
but yeah your right they DO run a tight ship here….. if they want to pay me $120k+/year to NOT bring all the bad habits with me I acquired over the years pulling a dryvan and follow their rules instead I’m ok with it… surprised more aren’tJust passing by Thanks this. -
Air Products ( The absolute best in cryo, but I hear they have drive cams now)
Robbie D Wood (Tanker Division)
WESTERN INTERNATIONAL GAS
( THERE ARE 3 DIVISIONS BULK ACETYLENE, FUEL GAS, and CYLINDERS. CYLINDERS is mostly local. But might spend 1 or 2 nights out sometimes)
Private carriers are far better than 3rd party carriers. I would apply to all of them before a 3rd party carrier. Robbie D Wood was an ok 3rd party carrier. But I hear the money is better on the tanker side.Dennixx Thanks this.
