Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Me personally would be happy to have one like that if no rust. I would get an engine from the local wrecker yard and have it running by the end of the day. Then if really solid open up and inspect the blown one. If its not one of those poorly rebuilt ones, it would get rebuilt or replaced with an other from the wrecker and that one would get rebuilt properly. I would still come in way less than 7 k and most likely have 2 running motors.
I know not everyone has the tools or is set up for what I am but even buying tools from harbor freight and doing the swap with a friend on days off wouldn't cost 7 k. Most likely 2 guys with basic knowledge could do it in a day.Mnmover99 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -

When shipping a vehicle that does not run, it gets a higher rate as it takes a roll back and/or a winch to load it

I do my own wrenching but I always worry about breaking down far from home with no tools and having to ship a vehicle back home '
Especially when I am driving it in another country -
