Wanting to work for FedEx ground live in KY

    The employee issue was with the parcel van operators . It was pushed by UPS and the Teamsters . The Teamsters figured they'd get the contractors claasified as employees them sign them on . FedEx got around the rule by eliminating single route contracts . This ruined a good thing for many single route contractors . They either had to sell their route or buy additional ones which would mean hiring drivers and paying them the benefits FedEx avoided paying .

    One route driver I know locally was involved in a class action suit against FE. It went alll the way to the supreme court. FE was trying to get him to do extra routes because others were falling behind. He refused. They tried forcing them to do it just like he was an employee. FE lost.
