When I was on the city board my furthest stops were about 90 miles south of the terminal. I usually ended up doing 230-260 miles on my daily peddle run.

Any info on the Bensalem location? Is this a good location to work at if anyone has any info on them? What kind of hours do they usually put in a day or week for city drivers? Can ward be a good company to retire from?

Ward in Cleveland has a 401K, but they don’t match any of it.
So I put $7,000 per year in a separate Roth IRA.
Then I dump the profit sharing into the Ward 401K which is not taxed if you do so.
Then put more into the Ward 401K.
    Its compounding.

Ward in Cleveland starts you at top rate for the past 2 years now.
    Currently $28.75 hr
But it’s all only straight time.
Route guys average 50-55 hours, which includes the 30 minute lunch, that you don’t get paid for.
All day shift, no weekends, which is nice.
So with $2,000-$2,500+ profit sharing, I make $76,000+ Yearly at this rate.
Some make more on longer routes out in Western Ohio, that they drive out to.
Some guys make less doing only switches.
401K here matches nothing, but you can dump your profit sharing into it tax free.
I use it and also do other Roth IRA’s.
I have to pay in on some of my healthcare, dental, optical.
Dispatchers Bob & Mike are cool.
But they won’t put up with a attitude from you.
    You’ll be gone.
So you better make them look good by doing a good job and don’t clock in late.
Terminal manager Rick is good, but don’t screw up, and keep your act together.
If you can do that, you’ll have it good.
