Warning on repair shop price gouging

Hello,don't know if this is the right place but.... just wanted to warn others of this repair shop in Ft. Payne ,Al. called McDaniel Garage, i had a truck service done there, oil change and chassis lube they wound up gouging the hell out of me . to the tune of $550.00 , they say my truck took 14 gallons of oil, funny how freightliner and several others said it only holds 11 gallons. $300.00 just in oil?!?!?!?! i was told there is nothing i can do ,other than warn others about their ripping off drivers, I also called the BBB,on them So be warned DON'T USE THEM...

 

yes ,soon as they told me this i went and checked the dipstick, its right on the full line , and im not convinced that it holds 14 gals, lol. but i did check with another repair shop and he told me, that that shop is known for ripping off drivers that doesn't know of them.... his exact words were ," yea Mr. McDaniels is a F'n thief ".... lol i wish i knew this before hand... oh well hopefully someone will see this before they go there and get bent over like i did.

 

Yes ,i was told labor $75. An hour plus cost of materials. But they charged me $22. A gallon for the oil, so thats where they said the main cost was.

 

well i learned a valuable lesson... tlc goes a long ways
