but I mean seriously.....I don't know because I've never done it, but couldn't you say,
"Look, it too 9 hours to load this, I got gypped out of another days work because you're not open on the weekend. So, I'm gonna need another $1500 before I back up to the dock."
Could you do this?

 

No, he is a company driver who likes to give people advises on how to properly run businesses

 

Brokers wouldn't fall for that. They will just pay you detention. Some bad ones will book you a load, which screws you of a couple days of work, but only pay you layover fee. For example giving you a load to a food warehouse with already late delivery appointment

 

I wasn't sure coz he's so quick to pass judgement like he owns a fleet.

 

Might be time to replace your broken "AXLE" when they said your driver would be detained for 6 hours that was the warning signal time to move on, or recalculate what time its going to take to get another load if your getting held up here can you go somewhere else and load in less time if not and there's not alot of freight to choose from best off putting up with the situation. It sucks then them's the breaks huh, in future your best off running the lanes with lots of freight.
