Even if the program is designed to put people to work, with a saturated job market (which this is in reality - it is NOT a driver's market), the pay back of the money spent for education through payroll taxes collected should be something like four to five years, but if they are only in the job for a year or two, then the program is a losing idea for all involved - it perpetuates the revolving door problem, allows abuse of students by not setting any training standards or requirements other than getting a cdl but more importantly limits the industry through piling on more people into sub-standard jobs.

I dont know that they are only in the industry for a year or two. I think many stay with a starter company for 1-2 years then move onto local trucking jobs or other otr companies.
