I'm in my 6th year OTR. Been through a few jobs. Was staying out for 3 months at a time, out of Denver. Now got a job that gets me home every week. 2 days one week. 3+ days the other. On the three day weekend. I can stop in Montana and go fly fishing for a day. Oh the Suffering! The Sacrifices I make for the company! I can hardly stand it! I'm broke! My money goes to fishing guides with their float boats. Fish the Yellowstone, Gallatin, Madison, Jefferson, Missouri, Bitterroot, The Park. Oh it's just awful! I can hardly stand it! But don't you worry! I'll make the Sacrifice! For the good of the company! You newbies be warned! The Sacrifices only get worse! That's an older pic from my first float trip OTR on the Bitterroot. Had a delivery put off a couple days. I got paid detention for that.
It's a rough life you got there you need to get out and explore nature more lol. Here by me it's almost/is king salmon season and I have this little 22,000+ Sq. Mile lake to go find them fish. I'm about 5-6 miles away. You cant beat a Fishing pole and a few beers to escape the world
Well played. ## em. Conway cancelled my hazmat load from Tampa to Edmonton one time because they wouldn't have it ready in time so I went on the toll bridge went fishing rented a pole bought shop bait and idled all night there. Marked it all down as reimbursement for light bulbs with an assist of an open key receipt obtained via free drink bribe at the truck stop. Hue hue hue heeeee. Oh how they went bankrupt. How they ever survived. The horror.
