None now. I tried a few of them, overall was happy with the motor but typical disappointment with dealer support. The one that broke a crank was just a fluke(i think)

My cummins warranty expires at 804,000km. Do I have an option to buy additional coverage for the engine and aftertreatment?

Based on what you have told me, it sounds like you already have additional coverage. The standard Cummins warranty is 2 years, 250,000 miles / 402,336 kilometers.

If you have coverage until 804,000km (roughly 500,000 miles), that sounds like you already have extended warranty.

If you tell me the last six of your VIN (either on here or via PM), I can tell you exactly what you have and what your options are.

    Thanks,

Yes I did purchase the extended warranty when I bought the truck new. It's paid for itself many times over with all the aftertreatment problems I have had. Motor just had an inframe done last month @ 700,000km.

It worries me with only 104,000km left on my warranty? This is why I am trying to find out if I can purchase additional coverage to surpass the 804,000 limit.

    VIN 169842

    Thanks for the info!

Sorry for the bad news, but you will not be able to purchase any additional coverage.

Here is the way extended coverage purchases work.

0-12 months in service you may purchase extended chassis warranty, extended engine & extended aftertreatment warranty from any Peterbilt dealer or Cummins distributor
13-18 months in server, you are no longer able to purchase extended chassis warranty. Extended engine warranty and extended aftertreatment warranty (if Cummins engine) must be purchased through a Cummins distributor, which costs more.

19+ months, you are no longer able to purchase warranties.

There are also mileage limits as well (100,000 miles / 160,934 km for chassis & 200,000 miles / 321,869 km for engine)

Sorry you will not be able to purchase more, but I am glad to know you have gotten your use out of the extended that you have. I always recommend them to customers. They're absolutely worth the cost.

Hey Belials, we appreciate that you are here and answering our questions.
My question is where I can find out what is covered under:
    0005201 Class 8 Standart Warranty
9400365 TruckCare Extended Warranty - Vehicle only
    9400558 Extended Cummins 2010 Protection Plan 1 (103416)

    vin 123559

    thanks!

Standard warranty is going to be 12mo/100,000 miles for everything, major components will have more because of their own warranty, such as the gear box I believe is 36 months 350,000 miles (don't quote me on that, at the moment).

Truckcare extended, if it is currently on that VIN, I can tell you tomorrow. It has various different options, miles, etc.

Cummins PP1 should be major components. Turbo, etc. Absolutely no aftertreatment.

I can provide more tomorrow but that's just a quick response.

I just checked the VIN. Your truckcare is only valid for 5 more months. Its a 48 month warranty and you are at 43 months

Your Cummins warranty is also only valid for 5 more months.

How many miles do you have on this truck?
