    Hi All,
I am new to this forum and am very glad to have found it. No such thing existed back when I was a driver and that brings me to my question.

I went to truck driving school back in 1990 and drove for about 5 years; the last couple as a team with my dad. My dad had a heart attach and could no longer drive so I gave it up to. I have been in manufacturing for the past 15 or so years. I would now like to get back in to trucking but I am not really sure how to do it. I did drive a bit about 3 years ago (not professionally) and it came right back to me. Now I need to get my CDL again but I don't really think I need to take a full trucking driving course again. What I was wondering was do trucking schools or even trucking companies have refresher courses and what are my chances of getting a job? Thank you in advance for any help or information that may be provided.

    Thank you,
    James

You need a refresher...no matter what. Unless you are under your own authority...but then you will shell out $15,000 in insurance.
