He would also hear the tire blow with 1 hearing aid in, or while wearing earbuds. And if you somehow don't hear a tire blow you would feel it unless you have no observation of anything around you.
That is a bs violation and you can't compare that to glasses

I can still hear out of one ear and i have been depending on one ear ever since I have been growing up. Stupid me forgot to take one hearing aid out at the DOT physical. -
Any out of service matters. but they won't make a big deal of it as long as it's not a log book violation. most company's are hard up for drivers and they will over look anything except log book out of service.
