Was the trucker at fault?

Never said the car was moving, never said the car was at fault. Are you dyslexic?

 

I guess I'm dyslexic. I saw the first full paragraph basically calling the car driver an idiot for being there. Saw no need to read past that point. I stand corrected. I'll go sit in the corner now.

 

Doesn't appear he cleared his right side before rolling, just went till he hit the car...

Even though you said the trk driver was at fault you make it sound like you're defending the trk driver and making it sound like the 4wheeler was more at fault.The trucker could have made that right turn easily without having to use both lanes.I think he was occupied doing something and not paying a bit of attention to what lane he was in as well as making the turn.He turned that rig like a car.Had he used his mirror he would have seen hes going to hit the car and stop.This is just another driver that thinks his mirrors are there for decoration.

Going for a different angle. Reading the narration under the video. I have to think that the driver who filmed the incident played a big part. Looks like he was parked in the moving lane tha might have made it confusing for the driver coming up from behind. The camera truck also mentioned he was out of his truck,checking trailer lights, re-arranging tools behind his seat etc. there is a Pilot straight ahead better suited for these things. Turning driver wasn't set up properly, but did have his signals ( and belly light ). Car was wrong but the trucker will take the hit....it's one of those deals boys and girls..safety is no accident.

 

Yup, it's a preventable incident...

 

I am not even sure how to respond to this... I stated the facts. The truck driver could have avoided the whole incident by waiting for a green light, then allowed the 4 wheeler to proceed and clear the space before making his turn but, that was not going to happen, as he was inattentive. The 4 wheeler put themselves in a compromising situation, by reasons stated in my earlier post, and was thus demonstrated in the video.

One could say by your post that you are trying to be argumentative.

 

This is why you should make a right turn from the inside lane on a two right turn lane set up and the outside lane on a two lane left turn set up .

Always keep the car on your drivers side never on your blind side ! This should have been taught on day one. Basic trucking 101 .
