What happens if you fail a drug test with a company. Not for me no worries. My brother in law passed his initial drug test celebrated with weed(Told him he was stupid) well during his orientation a bunch of the tests read false positives so they are rescreening everyone I told him to quit before they tested him again....He did not, he is Learning disabled obviously so what happens to his cdl.
Was wondering.

HE will get canned and hope no one ever hires him again. We don't need him.
fuzzeymateo, tow614 and lcfd15 Thank this. -
Well, all the trucking is getting done already without his help, and he doesn't bring any value to the table. I agree, this is not the career for him.
-
The closest he will get to trucking is polishing rims and fuel tanks at truck stops. His driving days are over!
-
he is Learning disabled
DRUG USE sort of does that to people
fuzzeymateo Thanks this. -
How will you feel if you don't and he kills someone...?pattyj Thanks this. -
Trucking is not for anyone that uses drugs,,,heck he should not drive a car either,,,tell him to run for a political office he qualified
pattyj Thanks this. -
Hi Nirvana, a "false positive" is treated like any other positive. It means, they don't have anything on you, except the test revealed an adulterated sample, and you cannot retest. You can have the MRO retest the sample you gave them, but the sample you gave them is the one they go on. Something is fishy there about the retest. If his test was not a false positive, I wouldn't retest again, they don't give you a 2nd chance.

Tell him to give up truck driving - with the alcohol and drug clearinghouse his trucking career is over. His best bet is to move to Colorado and stick to driving around stoned in a 4-wheeler. They don't seem to think 4-wheelers driving stoned is a problem. Maybe not for them but certainly is for me if I am sharing the road with him.
