no output difference, becouse torque and engine speed are limited with software

Look and see if they cover the engine if the filter fails, if they do not, do not install it. If you Google the air filter test data it will show you how a KNN lets in a lot of dirt and plugs easily.
I see people all the time spend money on an air intake system that fails, and causes damage, and there is no warranty coverage, To me it is dumb. -
Most trucks with underhood intake filters could benefit from the Fleet Air Filter. I use one on my Columbia. As for the worries about damaging the engine, if you are doing regular oil sampling, you will see if there is dirt getting thru because silicon levels would rise considerably. There is no reason to be caught off guard about something destroying an engine. Vacuum gauge will show if filter is plugging up. There are lot of folks that are using Fleet Air Filters and not having any problems. Not necessary, but nothing to fear in using.

I had it on my truck for a few years. Flows little freer then a clean Fleetguard, "feels" like it stays clean longer, if that makes any sence lol. Bought it from PP as well.

Bought my Fleet Air Filter from them at the MATS 2011 Truck Show that I changed it out in the parking lot in my 1998 Volvo 770. I immediately could tell a difference with throttle response and could hear the turbo spool up easier too. My fuel mileage on my dedicated runs picked up 3/10ths to 4/10ths MPG.
I highly recommend washing it every quarter (3 months) as they recommend and oil with Klotz filter oil to keep it in top shape.
Well worth it on an aero truck with an underhood filter box and especially with 400+ hp. The more HP, the more critical the filter is to keeping with the air needed thru a single filter box that is designed for motors under 400 hp.
I even recommend adding more ductwork to get that filter box more air...
