Yeah but there's a fee on the coin machine at Walmart. My local credit union has one that's free of charge for members. We go in there every couple of years with big jars that I always dump my pocket change into.

Ok, thanks a lot to the OP! Since I've retired early and didn't have a plan and money is always short - I've seen online these articles about all this rare coinage that's worth a lot of money....so, I've been squinting and looking thru my coins that I always seem to have in a jar somewhere for that million dollar bicentennial quarter! So now....when you guys see me at your local dump at midnight with a headband light and a huge magnifying glass in one hand and a 40ounce in the other hand, don't be laughing cause you know what I'm doing there! (At midnight cause who can afford to pay their ridiculous entry fees at the dump?)

 

The only coins worth anything are the old ones made from real silver and real gold .
