Co worker got pulled over and given a ticket for holdings his phone to his ear. Was told it was a 2400 ticket.

Problem is he wasn't. He's got a headset on and training a new guy. We can get fired on the spot for that and there is a camera in the truck, points in both directions. Even after hitting it, it turns on if jarred, the cops just said he put the phone down before it started to record. They seen 'everything' from he truck mirror, a few cars from behind.

I think it happened around the south end of 475/75.

Any useful info to fight against this bs?

No, not really. Unless the cams can back him up.
I live in Georgia. They got real serious about the whole phone thing this year.
Let this be a lesson to everyone. DO NOT be on your phone in the state of Georgia.
2400 sounds a mite steep though

Just imagine if you were in NYS. They’d tack on an additional $1000 on top of that.
    Fight it tooth and nail.

The driver turned his phone records to the boss, so his job is safe. Part of the ticket was from not signing the previous day's (off duty on Christmas) electronic log. I don't think there is that option, you got to call someone to change anything.

We both got personal cameras now, should be able to record 10 hours or so. The company ones only go back 8-10 seconds, so it's not very useful.

I'll post any useful info after his court date

If he was nailed in Tift County I wouldn’t be surprised.
