Unfortunately, I am one of the "someone older" people....LOL

But thanks guys. I appreciate the sentiment. I'll try to keep updated as much as possible, what with homework and then travel time to and from the practice range of my school....

FWIW, you'll get some more time behind the wheel in the W/S 10-day class and you can, of course, practice in the training trucks outside of class time while you're there.

Right, I was told the keys are available for the "student" trucks 24/7 as long as we keep them on WS property, we can practice whenever we want to.

Well, I am one step closer to Montana...I actually enrolled in a CDL school today here in Socal. It was the one recommended to my by WS, and the one I had already looked at before I found WS. 160 hour class over 4 weeks. There were only 2 or 3 people in the class I looked in on while touring the school, so that's good for instructor to student ratio, although they combine classes from 2 or 3 locations on the practice range. Worst case scenario is 3 to 4 per truck during instruction. I'm aware this is not optimal, but I didn't really have another choice, since WS decided to forgo training for the time being....

good luck warpdrvr. you need to keep us posted on how your training goes and once you get to ws, how that goes. so did/do you have to pay upfront in cash for the school you are going to?
    stay safe!

yep, I paid it all upfront, got a discount for paying in full, and some more off the bill since I already have my DOT physical done. All I will need to pay for is the hazmat fees, the school does not cover that. But all my permit and license fees are part of the tuition. 3 weeks from today I start the classroom portion.

warp, you do no that you DONT NEED your hazmat, at w.s it would really be a wast to spend the money for the hazmat, iv never been asked to pull hazmat, and only know of 2 people that have pulled hazmat, and both were at 4th of july.
