Schneiders orientation is only 3 weeks for newbies. 1 week classes, 1 week out with a trainer, then back 1 for classes and a road test.

    Thanks Dave! :hello1:
I'm going to need a little bit of time before I can visualize in my own mind that I am less than dog vomit right now as a trainee who is trying to break in with a good attitude and can-do attitude. Just leary about horror stories of some trainers out and about.
But, I digress, as I type, I'm losing track of myself as dog vomit. Lovely image o_O

This is truth. Training at Watkins is conducted by some good folks.

Schneider has DOT doctor/nurse measure and evaluate if the new hire meets requirements to then have tested for Sleep Apnea.

It's like Weight, Neck size and Blood Pressure. Maybe more they look at.

If you are required to be tested further for sleep apnea they pay for the sleep study.

I would meet the requirements. I've been tested for sleep apnea in my former occupation, and there was no sleep apnea issue despite the fact that my neck is 19". I'm not sure if I could show them the most recent sleep study test for them to take a look at and whether or not that they would accept that or not. Prime, on the other hand, I believe allows you to do just that if you've been previously tested and cleared I believe. Either way, I don't have sleep apnea.

67 is still pretty slow. My company's slowest truck runs 69 and that one is a drag. The others run 72 and I'm trying to convince the owner to turn them up to 75 to keep some of these longer days fitting onto one logbook sheet.

Since I own a truck and have to feed it myself, I can run as fast as I want, but my wallet says nope.

Just curious if anyone is seeing any significant changes to WS since the take over?
