I have heard from other drivers it slows a little just like the rest of the industry but not bad in the winter. They have some pretty good retail accounts so the base is steady I have not been here long enough to say from personal expirence.

The training is great. If you plan to work for them then why not? If you go to another school you do have to go through a 10 day training at W/S anyway so why not save the 10 days. The training has a good rep as well. There is something to be said about not being beholden to any company though. The schooling they finance for you through TAB so even if you jump ship it is not like you owe W/S. They set up the TAB account for you and the auto deposit for the payment so it is pretty easy.
The school is definately good and I would go W/S if I plan on working for them.

I have found some good information here about Watkins & Shepard. Hey efergstar, you mentioned you have been running the western loop. Is that because you wanted that? I wouldn't mind a few of them but I also look forward to running east bound. Can you shed some light on that?

I have completed the application but the next open class is Oct 22nd. Guess unless something changes my mind I'll be heading for Missoula.

That is great news! The only hurdle I have yet to jump is the school loan acceptance. The paperwork as been done and submitted. Just waiting to hear back now. I took my physical yesterday. All went well with that. I haven't given my work notice yet. Wanted to make sure I get the loan then break the news here.

Looking forward to meeting you guys in person!

Don't worry Raak, my credit is very iffy and I was accepted. So you should be fine, the school basically co-signs for the loan. And they were pretty quick with the credit decision, only 3 or 4 days. Once that is done you will be on the fast track to Montana. Just wear warm clothes!

If you need any further questions answered I can try and answer them, as much as I can anyway.
