Way ta go, Unilever!

hahaha wait till you go tho the Baltimore ,Md. unilever whse or Atlanta whse ... app times means nothing to them... sat in Baltimore unilever yard( or rather out on the road) for 6 hrs past my app time last time i was up there, .. and Atlanta has no problem letting you sit off in the dirt lot beside their docks for 5-6 hours after your scheduled app time waiting to unload. and dont dare ask them to sign for detention... <---- thats the look you get , like you lost your #%!##% mind

 

When i was at Heartless Express i HATED getting thos Unilever loads. Thay always sucked

 

The one in Raeford, NC sucks too....

 

Don't know how recently any of you have dealt with Unilever in Pontoon Beach IL, but apparently they aren't any better than Atlanta, NC or MD. My driver had an appointment @ 08:00 the broker @ Coyote assured me that they haven't had any problems unloading at this facility. At 8:30 the driver calls, he has been there since 07:30 and hasn't been put in a dock at all yet. So I call the broker, they said they are going to call and see what can be done. I get a call at 0900 finally they have put him in a dock, finally there is hope. Driver called @ 0930 still not unloading him yet. Driver called @ 1000 still not unloading him yet. Driver called @10:30 still not unloading him yet. He has a pick apt @ 1200 1.5 hrs away. So I have to call that broker and tell them he is going to be late. They aren't happy, we just got set up under them this is our first load with them and you know what a good impression that makes. I then called the broker for this load again. We are doing all we can, we have called them several times to try to get him unloaded faster. Right now it is almost 11:00 am and they Still haven't even started unloading him. I will never load or unload at Unilever again and Coyote because of this is losing all credibility with me. I know the old joke "How do you know if a broker is lying? Cause his mouth is moving." I know I can't be the first to have problems at this facility getting unloaded which means he lied to me. Sound off if you have had similar problems getting unloaded @ Unilever in Pontoon Beach, IL.

 

We use unilever in Baltimore. We do drop and hook but I have been there 3 times and my trailer im droping has been rejected ever time once for having a single chep or big wood pallet on it, once for a marker light being out, and last time a bad seal on the door. There the hardest shipper we deal with in the middle of the hood.

 

Probably not even a load of levers is it?

 

It wasn't unilever but HEB near Jarrell, TX. I had 2 pallets of mislabeled paper towels that said walgreens ans should have said HEB. The broker kept dwadling until my dispatcher told them that they had 5 minutes to come up with a solution or those paper towels were coming back to El Paso and we'd sell them at the swap meet. They arranged for HEB to unload them and send them back to the plant in Kingman, AZ.

Guess I been lucky. I delivered to one in NC and glad its drop n hook. Plus its a tanker. Their place in Jonesboro AR was cool too. I was about to deliver a day early. Mind you all they have to do is show ke when to pump off baby oil and I did work.
