And now fmcsa want to govern the trucks .
Low rates, 65mph governed trucks, ####ty company driver pay,no respect, disrespected by shippers and receivers, third class citizen, expensive fuel, expensive repairs. I LOVE TRUCKING (cries in silence)RefMata, Trucker61016 and RubyEagle Thank this. -

Read an article today from ooida that said in the last 2 years there have been 20000 some new carriers granted operating authority and it blatenly said of those 20000 that rely solely on spot market freight most will go out of business in the next downturn.
Also mentioned as contributing factors to they're demise will be ( what most of us knew already) will be sky high
Equipment prices .
High debt .
High insurance rates .
High maintenance and repair costs .
High fuel costs.
Also said established carriers and long term owner ops will probably not have any issues other than diminished revenues down from historic High levels .
They expect it to rival 2019.
Hell I made good money in 2019 with a truck payment so I'm not worried and still at the same carrier that's been in business 90 years .Beaver9, Siinman, BoostedTeg and 6 others Thank this. -
