A little bit here in a little bit there I’m hearing about companies closing up shop. Some are filing for restructuring. A company out west with 100 trucks told their drivers to bring all the trucks back to the yard. They were shutting down until fuel prices came down or rates went back up. No sense running loads at a loss. So yeah it’s starting.

My company had me deadhead back to the yard 770 miles last week. I thought it was an error and I called them up. They said there was no loads in the area. I was shocked! What worries me is getting screwed out of two checks. It happens. Good companies will pay you to the end and bring you in, some do, some don’t….Most of us don’t know the true financial situation of the companies we work for.

You all (drivers) have the power to have it all. You just need to believe it. Have a bit of communication , save up for a bit of time off and wait for pay to come up to where you want it. It is all there weather they pay or not , the same amount of money and products are out there. And everybody WANTS AND NEEDS what you can bring in your truck. I personaly think you could do a lot more even than just control your pay but if that is what it takes to get you going YES you can control your pay. Nothing is ever as difficult to achieve as you think it is. You can do it , you can call all of your own shots . I am not saying everyone can ...but you the Professional Truck Driver can. Collectively you have more power than any other , and The Force is with you.

Wait, so buying a $160k Cascadia with 800k miles on the clock wasn’t a good deal after all?

    We need that communication part
I don’t think anyone would have to have enough saved up for anything more than 3 meals
    If everyone would
Stop driving. Go have breakfast, maybe lunch? Doubt dinner!! By then it would stop the World worse than Covid did and we would have it

Can’t get everyone on the same page for some reason
    Maybe it’s the English barrier?

    bzinger and The_vett Thank this.

There are a lot of barriers . I do believe if enough do believe and they talk to others it can happen. Fear is the biggest barrier , and it is hard to overcome because it bleeds into everything. (as we can see). But like you said GYPSY65 , COMMUNICATION is the key.
