Would rather do that then sit in an area where a better load may come along. Seemed to have worked perfect for me in the last 9 years. I remember when I took a load coming out of the north west to KY for like $1.45

Im not saying you and a ton of others aren’t doing this

    What I am saying is
If nobody did this then the rate would double. Triple or more

It needs to move but when guys have your type of business plan it affects those who refuse to do all those favors

There are guys out here with junk trucks. Some with decent trucks and yet others with $$$$ rigs and gear

    Why is that?
Some just don’t sell their soul for a buck

Rate wouldn't double right now. The market is junk the demand isn't here like it was 3 years ago. People don't seem to understand demand. More demand = higher rates less demand = lower rates.
Companies and others will pretty much do anything to keep these trucks moving. This is why big companies are moving to a power only gig because it's grantee money for them. Where I'm at now we had 4 mega companies come on as the rates started dipping and volume dropped. We pull food and it's even slowing down its just that time of the year and with a recession hitting its only gonna get worse.

    Sorry
I didn’t read past your first line but explain to me why the rate wouldn’t double??

    Save the ink
    I’ll explain why
Because you take it for less

If NOBODY hauled it and it had to move then it would be a “name your price”

    But
As shown in earlier posts even decent rates drop because guys are desperate to under bid the previous guy

Like the broke az shipping wars show

It’s never about holding out but rather ALWAYS about who can cut throat the other guy

It will always be a cut throat market. Your asking millions of drivers hey don't make money let it sit and see if we can drive the rates up. Absolutely no way that's gonna happen. You have to be real. The load volume is at its lowest its been in a long long time. Rates are gonna probably drop more. Shipping war show is a joke and that line of the industry has always been cut throat as almost anyone with a pick up truck can go and make money.

So please tell me how your gonna get millions of drivers to refuse loads to try and raise the rates...

Some are some aren't if you know your numbers you will know what the absolute RPM vs CPM is that you need. Go ask some of these O/O they can't even tell you what there RPM is or even what profit they made last year.
