Nice country to go on a fishing holiday in summer.
But it would be a terrible place to live and drive truck all winter.

Is that the same company that runs the bulk terminal up there? Or is it arrow? More helicopters then trucks there

I would guess that the pay is great. To get me to go up there as a driver I would need to be paid about $7,500 an hour.

Buddy of mine was piloting out of there for the wind farm by tumbler ridge and made a killing, however the engine is his pickup let go so he spent a decent amount too

That always struck me as an odd location to build it in every time i drive by it. Why not some locations far away from the wac dam, so when the lines go down the grid still has power in some areas....not right near the main source.

I don't know the area well enough to comment. Just know the back way from beaver Lodge is better then going up and around . Not even sure what it's powering up there

Delivered some cranes to the Tumbler Ridge wind farm in the middle of a storm that dumped an absolutely stupid amount of snow. Super-B loads, so we had to split them on the highway and take them up one at a time. It was... interesting. Although the worst part was probably getting stuck in the Beaverlodge A&W parking lot.

I stayed up there overnight all alone after delivering though. I had both bunk and engine heaters so staying up there was incredibly peaceful. Snow above the steps in the morning.

I delivered a deere dozer there one day we'll they were still doing the clearing, pulled off the highway and about 6 trucks sitting there. I was told someone was stuck on site. My response"if I put chains on can I go in?" Was told I'd be the first one in. A few people glared at me as I passed them

Wymon, not4hire and MartinFromBC Thank this.
