Yea I’ve seen that done. Use to pull steel out of a plant here local until they went on strike. When things were good they would pay my truck round trip rate for a load 1 way, but they knew my truck was a sure thing too.

I guess they knew when I left I’d come back with the load or come walking through the gate with the steering wheel in my hands. Brokers are not all bad, and if you treat them fair many will treat you fair as well. I’m actually texting with a broker now that I worked with at that steel plant, super good guy….

 

Sure helps if someone drops a load at the last minute and I’m right there waiting for it
