hello, i got a ticket on weight station because my log book wasn't updated from Off duty to On duty, and that showed me like i was driving for 5 hours off duty. I live in Michigan but i got the ticket in Kentucky. I just have some questions, do i lose points in my DL? Do i really have to get a lawyer? And if i pay the fine, what will happen? Do i have to be in court?

    Ps: im a new driver

No Points on license- No Courts- Just a money grab...it'll go on your PSP csa . Thats about it.....

    Its a Joke.

Just pay it if your guilty of it. Life Happens- Your not a bad person- Chin up.

Log book school time. Pay up.

Don't get that far out of violations again.

Aint but a little money lost and maybe a OOS here and there now and then. The problem is in the ELD. When it's time for you to stop and sleep, stop and sleep. And that is where it sometimes causes big problems like having to be towed from your reciever when you are unable to drive a inch until you have had time in the berth or hotel.

Never mind the record but it will be recorded on your PSP.

Even if it did get onto your record, big deal. As far as violations go it's not that big of a deal because its relatively easy to avoid those kinds of tickets and violations. Part of learning.

What did I just tell you?
It wont affect your drivers license- No Points!!

Just pay it and move on.....It'll be on your PSP report only which is controlled by the FMCSA points system-

Like a new driver, i pay a lot attention to my logg book, and yeah, if my logg book says that i have to sleep ill sleep because i dont care if i drop or pick the load later. But this is my first time that thing happened and im just worried about my dl point and record, and I would appreciate some advices from more experienced drivers

Me doth protests drivers today worrying TOO much about relatively minor violations threatening their personal driving and commercial vehicle records.

Get your rest and if you need a appt time get a new one, and it will be taken care of when you check in after your rest tonight sometime. Go with the logs. The freight does not need to be there yesterday.

    Concorde Thanks this.
