Could also be a thin tread as opposed to a deep tread giving you the difference in tire size.

I'm sure that's what it was. I had to replace another tire on it, and had to get a used one to match the tire depth next to it. Didn't even think about it with a brand new tire....

Yeah, they put a trailer tire, (less tread) next to a drive type Lugger.

Loose wheel bearings show up on the inside tire, inner shoulder first.

Thing is, I've ran road service. Even if I cared and asked what type of tire or tread depth you had next to it. Most didn't know or care. And a fleet only wanted a new cap. We actually carried some half tread drive caps for this reason. But most didn't know or care. We tried doing the best we could. But can't haul around a warehouse of tires!

They claim trailer tires actually last longer on a trailer than steers. I always put used steers on my trailer, buy them for $100-200. They do sometimes cup out quicker, having bad shocks doesn’t help. I need shocks bad. I don’t care much for Goodyear’s. But I’ve got 2 side by side now, and they’re wearing better than the others. Who knows? The Aleos? brand steers at Loves have worn good also. Hate to buy 2 when only need one. But it pays off, then try to put the extra tire where it’s needed. The used tire shuffle!! Lol.

Buy these and be done with it. I don't even have my dump valve hooked up and regularly run loads 45k... No issues... 20201017_142651.jpg
