Yes. I’ve been running the Goodyear G167 retreads from the Goodyear shop for years. The G167 was our tire of choice back in the day and after they discontinued it they used the pattern as a retread pattern because it was super popular. We just kept replacing them with the retreads to match for the last 30 years. No problems in this heat with them.
They have around 8 or 10 different patterns to choose from. Ribbed for steer and trailer or lugged for drives.
Buddy of mine used the Bridgestone/Bandag retreads from Southern Tire Mart for 35 years. He would have them retread his casings a few times with no issues. No problems at all with them. Texas heat didn’t hurt them.

I rarely use a Michelin. I know they’re good, but seem to be the one tire that never matches height of others. Same size, but way off when compared, almost like they’re on a different scale or something.

One way you can tell if built on the large end is how easy it airs up when mounted new. Michelin and Bridgestone rarely need a bead seating blaster. Just hook up air chuck and air up easy. All the other manufacturers need a Cheatah blast or two sometimes four. Lol!

It should be able to be recap if it has no nail hole repairs and has never ever been run low on air, when you buy a tire from some place bring a flash light with you and ck. for any repairs and if find any do not buy that cap, just keep looking thru the tires till you find a clean one with no repairs, side wall repairs are a do not buy that tire thing also!
