I've delivered to this little gem quite a few times over the last 30+ years. It's only weird if you allow it.

Fun backing- a building supply store on staten island, ny. Pull down a dead end street, check in. Go to the oil recycler across the street and they will open their back gate. Pull into their yard, offset sightside back across the street in between two buildings. It gets better. While backing between the two buildings you gotta angle the truck cause the stores gate is offset to the right side of the truck. Mirrors miss the buildings by inches and watch out for pallets of shingles and bundles of iso panels. Finish with jacking the truck and trailer about 45 degrees so customers and their straight trucks can get in and out . All with a short nose 379/63" sleeper and a 48' spread axle flat. Pita to get into but your outta there in no more than 45 minutes and if they are grilling on a friday they feed you too. I put a video on youtube, think its under 'staten island tight backing' but not sure. You get to hear my horrible commentary and dump valve warning sound thru most of it

weirdest place ive ever delivered was underneath a bank in the middle of Atlanta. it was an experience. I was warned going in that the pipe at the top of the ceiling was not quite 13'6 and that i would scrape it. That was a bit nerve wracking.

Here's one to chalk up on the list:
The DC I work at is actually a parking garage in the middle of downtown. It has 2 levels. Most of the OTR and dedicated trucks that deliver mail here get assigned to the lower level. Because it's a garage, it's very tight. Due to insurance reasons, most OTR contractors cannot back into our dock. We send them a block down the road to a holding yard and get a yard spotter to move the trailer into the bay.
If we didn't have the spotters and we had a few contractors come in at the same time as the regular drivers, it would turn into a demolition derby. -
I can beat every last one of these stories with this one! I had to deliver heating oil to a government facility in MD and they gave me directions on how to get there but said " whatever you do, after you go under the bridge turned left & do not drive straight or the soldiers standing guard down the road will have a fit " once I get there I see signs to stay off the grass because there are undetinated shells In the grass!! Here's where it gets good! The hose on my truck was not long enough to reach the tank Soooooo I had to "BACK IN ON THE GRASS "!! Yes the same grass with the same signs!!!! Prayed the whole time delivering until I left!!
