    Hey,

I work for PAM trucking coming up on a year and was wondering if this WEL company would be any better. My wife lives on the truck with me and that's the way thigs need to stay, we have a dog but right now we have to have other people watch her- we are paying people to much for that crap. I was wondering about the rider policies. Also, I know you have to wait for loads everywhere but is there a "normal" or "average" waiting time? I never refuse a load, I don care where it's headed. Anyway, any info is apppreciated.

Most truck drivers are always wondering if another company is any better, but the truth is, it's all trucking with the same basics.....pick-up a load, deliver it, pick-up another etc. Question is, does your present company have enough freight to keep you running, is your dispatcher treating you well, paychecks on time, promises being kept, equipment maintained properly etc. These are the things that can be different at different companies. The things that cannot be different, no matter what, are weather, driving long days, police agencies looking at you, shippers/consignees messing with you, truckstop antics etc.
