With ya there, Nana. I pulled flatbed and miss the exercise but I know bone density is all downhill from here. Yes, I did it with my wide load bottom! I can climb, and throw a strap over a dry van. Fold lumber tarps without a lick of help and get them on the deck if I gotta. Alas, in the seventh inning of my life I'm more cautious of a fall. But I still get WAY more activity than I would as a desk jockey.
Eat less? No stress eating? Reject fried foods? Just a thought.
WEL...you better not have a physical limitation

Well yeah! I'm male, married and over 50! Of course I've had Menopausal Survival Training! It's a required course if you wish to stay married, alive not duct tapped to a wall and without parts being glued to other parts while sleeping or keep eating food that I didn't cook even though I'm a really good cook trained by my mom!Big Don and Texas-Nana Thank this.

Apparently I'm still in boot camp

................ JimTexas-Nana Thanks this. -
Pay close attention. The path gets tricky.Texas-Nana Thanks this. -
My husband is the King of Menopausal Survival Training!
This man today : cleaned the pool for me, got me the day off, now got me the night off AND tomorrow morning so I can attend church and he just went to pick up bar-b-que for me!
I love him I love him! He lives to see another day.
Oh and he's swinging by the pharmacy to pick up my meds...........is that a SMART man or what? -
Maybe the moderators should start a new thread-
"report a menapausal truck driver here" ! It would really help us innocent bystanders when we decide what route we are going to take! I will gladly do my best to not aggrivate one of our fellow drivers that are going through THE CHANGE.....it's not always survival of the fittest! -
*makes a note of omyakinbak's comment* And your truck number was___? -
Be advised, driver: it's not a dedicated route. You couldn't be sure where the next trip may go.Texas-Nana Thanks this.

But actually what they have determined is that Sleep Apnea is a large contributor in Auto Accidents. And the insurance world has made what they think is a logical conclusion that it would hold true for Truck drivers. However, there is no good study, that has linked Sleep apnea to Professional Truck Drivers. And they fail to take into account the fact that truck drivers are 3 times safer drivers then auto and light trucks, This is documented in Government reports
Jim
You are right part way. There is no regulations about what standard are used to determine if you have sleep Apnea. Now if in the doctors professional opinion, he believes that you could have sleep apnea, then there is regulations that says you must be tested, and if the test is positive you must be treated in order to get your medical card.
Right now you are right there is no regulations except for the fact that untreated Sleep Apnea will disqualify you from getting a medical card.
