Someone thinks they're BAD AAAAA because they live in a HOA.

It’s 06:30 in the morning in rural Alabama as I lay here in bed, contemplating getting up. A few minutes ago, it sounded like world war 3 just started. I’m guessing someone is getting an early start on the new year’s festivities. That, or the local fireworks joint just blew up.
Either way, I bet no one bothers to call any cops. Unless it really was the fireworks joint. But then, what would they be able to do anyway?
Time to make coffee. Then I might go flip the switch on my old reefer trailer that’s parked in the yard, just to see if it still runs.Blackshack46, Oxbow and Pedigreed Bulldog Thank this. -
The only purpose for an HOA is to restrict behavior and force everyone to act like it is a stepford village of mind numb robots to conform to the few who dictate the rules to others. It removes the freedoms of home ownership and causes grief for people who want to live freely.loudtom, Pedigreed Bulldog, spyder7723 and 2 others Thank this.

Is it tomorrow yet?

Or maybe people like to have neighbors who don't turn the neighborhood into a junk yard full of scrap vehicles, dead lawns full of weeds, and houses that haven't been painted or repaired in decadesTallJoe, driverdriver and Tb0n3 Thank this.

WOW, name calling, how shallow of you.
-
Sorry after a few times fighting these abominations, you can not change my mind about it, if you want to live in a stalin style run housing, go for it, but I won't allow myself to be that shallow and stupid to. After my last fight with an HOA, came to the conclusion that when they effect other's property by dictatorial means, they need to be eliminated.
You can't justify the crap that they pull when someone paints their door trim an unapproved color, or when someone wants to have guess over for a couple days. Any justification you make like dead lawn or scrap vehicles isn't the business of an HOA to police, it is there for the township or city to deal with.
The same goes for foreclosure of homes by the HOA, to me that should be illegal no matter what. They have no right to that asset no matter what, their powers should be limited to less than a city when it comes to what they can and can not do, I don't see cities foreclosing on a house because someone has put up an antenna or has a clothes line out.Swedish Chef, Blackshack46, ZVar and 5 others Thank this.
