Looked it and yes if the vehicle is above 10,001 gcwr it will be his regulated. What you could've done is after you got unloaded just driven to a acceptable safe haven but you can't charge dot because you had 10 hrs in on a 34. I don't think you'll look good arguing anything with that basis. You CAN but I think it'll be comtemtable very quickly. Most try and make things work out for themselves and sometimes it just doesn't work. Over!

    1. He didn’t have to park there to take his 34 so it’s hard to blame HOS if you get a parking ticket when visiting your mom.
    2. Never take the first ticket off your windshield.
    3. Agree with @TripleSix..... IF it wasn’t posted no parking then what are the grounds for the ticket?

Go back to that spot park the truck and take pictures. I beat a MD $500 ticket that way.

The simple solution to this problem is a quick call to the US Marshall’s office. They will take care of it pronto.

As someone who's head of an HOA, I can tell you the ugly truth, we can have it towed and impounded. In my area, the city prohibits anything over 10,000 GVWR unless actively loading/unloading, HOA rules are the same. Now, the reality, will we have it towed, it's going to depend on the HOA and the municipality.

So i guess common courtesy woulodn't be expected of you so that the people may know not to park there. You'll just smile as you call the wrecker?
