I haven't read all the replies but I think its been said before but.....there is always a second chance. This is America.

You can not get a hazmat endorsement. You can not get a twic card.
But if you keep your record clean you can apply for an expungement for some if not all of those charges with the state of GA.

You need to forget about getting any kind of good paying trucking. But you might be able to get your cdl and get on with a SMALL outfit. Someone who don't care.

First step is to NO GET ARRESTED! for at least 5 years. THEN go and look in to a expungment.

Truth be told that 20 years a ago those charges didn't mean crap and you would be down the road. But now it aint gonna happen.

    Sorry buddy. Good luck.

That doesn't include the mass weekend over load that piles up while they are off on the weekends.

I think that pretty much anywhere in the south. My house they get option's though. Mossberg 500 12g, 1911 Colt .45 ACP or either mine or my old ladies Glock 23 .40. I've had to draw on my ol' ladies ex before when he was tresspeassing on my land while on a protective order. It's makes both sides of the gun stop and think about the repercussions.

As for the OP, your pretty much screwed. I've seen how hard it was for someone back in 99' to get a job driving with a 15 year old DWI.

Seriously, would you hire a drug addict/dealer/whatever drug related, to drive YOUR 120K Rig???? OR, would you hire a convicted thief to haul 200K worth of YOUR freight across the country???? With your record, I'd be afraid you'd get all meth'd out, decide to make a run for the border with my load of Plasma TV's...that's if you even made it to the interstate before turning the whole truck over on the ramp by doing 75 on a 25 mph on-ramp!!!

And these guys telling you to check with smaller companies! Give me a break! They have to insure their trucks just like the big guys. I'd bet next years pay there isn't an insurance company out there that would touch you with the competitions best policy!

I'm not sorry if I've offened you. You've actually offened me by trying to weasle your way into an industry that is already struggling to gain the respect of the general public! The public sees us as "outlaws" anyway without actually hiring them! I'm NOT going to wish you luck in find employment as a driver... That kind of freedom should not belong to a person of your calibar. Who knows what you will get into on the road!

Fill out an app at McD's or Burger King... I think they have deals worked out with the states in hiring ex cons!

Get a Federal job as a driver.

Seriously, a job with the Feds. Driving prisoners, shuttling Federal bigshots around, delivering stuff.... you're a shoe in, you're "disadvantaged".
