After my aplication in Sept and working for another company for 3 months, I decided what the heck. I need 6 months solid driving before I can get on with a company in North Dakota anyways so why not covenant.. I was wondering if they have a pet policy.. I forgot t ask.

I'm nervous mainly because I'll be away from my beloved cat and girlfriend for weeks at a time, its scary but I need to do what I can so I can move on to something that pays 25 an hour.

Anyways any advice for their california location would be most welcomed.

You'll be fine at the pomona yard. Allow me to give a word of caution. Bring your thick skin and extra money. Covenant has a lot of dummies driving for them, I may be 1, and the FM will not baby you at all. Night dispatch main function is to track freight, so stop and nap at the risk of getting your load repowered. (team trucks) Also, freight is not so good right now, it would be better but we don't pull cheap freight, so if our normally high paying high security loads are not available, you will sit. Good luck. Work hard. Have fun.

    Everett Thanks this.

Allow me to tell you, you guys are no dummies. You and your lady seem to be competent, reliable, safe drivers, thats why you keep rolling and getting good loads. All the best to you!! Rocks. :biggrin_25525:

Thanks for the kind words. We have been lucky, that's for sure. Covenant has some seasoned professional drivers, without a doubt. We may join those ranks one day. You have.

I am going in for team driving... I am somewhat easy to get along with although I can not stand stinky dirty people.. Yea a day or two with out a shower is fine but don't expect me to go a week.

Also money. I have none so I am considering delaying untill the next following Monday so I can get my final paycheck.. I hope they still accept me and not stop me from going..

Anyone know what might happen if I delay another week? I have already gotton my greyhound ticket number and the hotel knows Im comming

Delay might not be an issue, but keep your recruiter informed. You'll have a few chances to pass the test. They bus a lot of folks to Chatt...

sweet deal, I spoke to the lady and delayed it until the 7th.. SHE is VERY nice, great lady and I hope to someday meet her in person.

I'm sorry for all the people who have bad times with this company but honestly I really think if I am NICE and do a good job meaning arrive on time, no wrecks etc than they are nicer... Maybe I'm wrong but whatever, she was a great lady..

Oh I forgot to ask you but do they allow pets? Once you are on the road driving that is....

I might even do a purchase plan if it meant I could bring my pet
