Recently, I posted about my experience with JB Hunt and how I got *^%$ed by them.
Well it happened again with a local company here in the Philadelphia area.
I was called by BRT Transport of Parkesburg, Chester County, about a local job driving tanker. I thought this would be a good thing since my experience with J.B. The Safety/Fleet Mgr. called me and wanted to have an interview. He was in Trenton Nj and was going past my home on his way back to Chester County. I agreed to meet him a local diner and have bite to eat and an interwiew. He agreed and we met. He spoke about the job, the company , pay, benefits, etc.
After answering my questions, he asked when I can start, I gave a date of Wed. 23 January. He said that will be good since I will have 3 days of orientation and classroom training.
I went home with a good feelingand told my wife and she was very excited about it because I will be home every day.
On Monday 21 January, the gentleman called and stated that the truck they were going to assign me was no longer available and they will keep my info. on file. (Yea Right!)
So I am now back in the same situation i was in after the J.B. Hunt fiasco.
So I guess, no matter what company it is, somehow you will get screwed.

Yes I Agree. I will be calling them today and sending the safety man I met with an e-mail. I know I shouldn't get disgussted so easy.

Did he buy dinner at the diner?

Yes he did buy me an early dinner/late lunch. That was awfully nice of him.
