You guys have to hand count? At GFS we just scan the bar codes and the computer does the inventorying.

    hand count?

F that, if it has the right stop number on it (3, or 3 or whatever) it gets delivered at that stop. They do generally (not always) put a complete stop in one shrink wrapped pallet, so generally (not always), everything for that stop is on that pallet (or multiple pallets). hand held computers, at MBM that's like sci-fi.

the restaurant signs for it (and after you've been at it for a while you start to realize you've seen X or Y and you can go find it). But once that invoice is signed I"m gone.

oh, we don't get to come out the back, we have some side by side trailers, but most are front and back. (which is stupid). And of course, all the senior guys get the side by sides. I haven't seen a side by side trailer in months. Usually the first couple loads come out the freezer door. and of course, it's pallets to the door, so you can't use the ramp anyway, have to use the stair platform. I just build my two wheelers worth of stuff on the platform, climb down, put it on the two wheeler, then wheel it in, come back, etc. Depends on how the trailer is loaded too. Although sometimes I've made them reload the trailer because ti's wrong for the stops. (it's a right side trailer and stop 2 can't come out the right side, it's up against a wall on the right side and although a competent place would have notes, I work for MBM and we don't write anything down (our motto is every man for himself))

See, we told you it would start to get better.

It seems a lot of the old drivers are all bitter, and I enjoy piss ing them off.

Man, it's sounds like you guys stay in pretty good shape doing all that. Hey mike 2633, how did you get cookies at a school? Does Michele know about that. Or does that school have a presidential pardon.

    Mike2633 and McKlakin Thank this.
