You are right, there isn't much that they could do once it was as far gone as in the video.

It was watching a bunch of guys getting in the way with their phones that prompted my post. Especially when the flames were a real threat to the fuel and gas tank vent system. The underground tanks could have blown sky high and no one really seemed too concerned. Just had to move back 5 or 10 feet and get more video.

 

Perhaps when it was still a smoldering cigarette butt. Any pee bottle could have put it out.

Thats the age we live in now. Something happens and everyone get a video going. Common sense has long gone away. If you want shoot video, fine, but stay away from the area. The emergency responders have way too much other stuff to worry about.
