Once in a blue moon we head off to a little eating place after we have had time to forget the fiasco from before.

Then stand there and witness the staff in bad morale eyeing the clock wanting out slap the food together. What a bad time to show up hoping for a quality meal. Im not going to name the place but enough was quite enough.

I recall a tiny place in Kansas just west of overland roughly in the weeds or this case cottonwood, little lady and her mom ran the kitchen with 4 tables and 5 acres to park a truck. Cook food to order and so forth. They have always done a good job. I usually over tipped both of them because their prices were at the time then about half what you had to pay at Petro or other. So I was happy to do it.

Police reported that the truck driver said that his brakes failed while he was outside of the truck hooking up his trailer,

i hope he traveled lightly, so he can get all his stuff on the Greydog...

And just like that all four maxi brake springs failed at the same time....

I wonder if they checked if the yellow knob was pulled.

By the time it got almost all the way thru Wendy’s I’m sure the air lines and air tanks were ruptured and the yellow knob was out....
Probably the ruptured air system is what finally applied the maxi brakes and kept it from going all the way thru the building.

Bud A., stillwurkin and OldeSkool Thank this.

    More than 4.

So you back under it, hook up the air lines. Even if you didn't set the tractor brakes you have to get back in the truck to release the trailer brakes. Baffling.

Bud A. and stillwurkin Thank this.

That’s 20 miles from me. It is on a hillside.
And it wasn’t me that crashed, this time.

Amazing nobody was hurt. If that would have been at a busy time it would have been a massacre.
