FMCSA really should consider changing the federal HOS regulations to the Texas HOS regulations.

12 hours of line 3, 15 hours on duty which stops when you take a break, 70 hours in 7 days. 24 instead of 34, 8 instead of 10. It's not like they even need to do a study either. They have all the evidence that they need right here in Texas.

That would eliminate the need for the "I ran 30 seconds over on my 14, is the punishment lethal injection or firing squad..." posts.

It's firing squad, by the way.

Also, for everyone who is saying the world is going to end when the mandate takes full effect, you need to consider that this has been a long time coming and that any company with more than a 10 truck fleet has almost certainly already made the transition. Definitely all the thousand and 10 thousand unit carriers have. The only people who will be parked on the shoulder will be the new drivers who have trouble with tight backing situations or with being blocked in by the ######## who refuse to back into a spot and make a tight situation impossible.

Best believe I'll be beating on your sleeper.
