Hi, I have been driving for Schneider for 5 years now and work out of the Gary Operating Center.
The STL I have now seems to be decent and the assistant is really good about taking care of the drivers. For example, making sure you get home on time and taking care of a mess that 2nd shift has made so you dont lose your bonus.
I would have to say that the Gary Operating Center is one of the better ones but I sure hope that they fix the Parking lot. I see that they have grated the lots to fill the pot holes but when it rains its like walking in soup and the mud gets everywere! Oh well, I'm sure there are more important things to complain about.
So were are you from?
What Operating Center do you work out of?
How long have you been driving?
Do you get along with your SLT and work well together?
Were are you From?

I am from Spring Green, Wisconsin and planning on attending training in Green Bay ASAP.
I know this question has been asked a million times on here, but can I really expect to make a decent wage ($35K-$40K+) in my first year? I am willing to work my butt off. I have nothing holding me back, like a wife or girlfriend, and I really don't care how much I am home. Only thing I gotta go home for is to get the mail and mow the lawn.
Any responses would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance. -
