Are you a company driver or a contractor

 

new to the forum......from houston, tx............thinking of driving (never drove before) and at this point just doing my homework on the industry.......lots of internet reading, studying the cdl book when i get a chance at work, making a short list of trucking companies to apply at, talking to drivers when i run into one.........

Tunnel Hill, GA is Home USX Terminal // Midway, TN is my Home Wal-Mart Distribution Center // I live in Oliver Springs, TN... don't run into Many Schneider Drivers just pass them alot, and been driving since March 2005

 

I think that my outpost, if you will, is at Gary, IN. I plan to drive for Schneider here. I leave on the 4th next month to go to Wisconsin from Gary, IN. I live in Fort Wayne, IN.

I am from Spring Green, Wisconsin and planning on attending training in Green Bay ASAP.

I know this question has been asked a million times on here, but can I really expect to make a decent wage ($35K-$40K+) in my first year? I am willing to work my butt off. I have nothing holding me back, like a wife or girlfriend, and I really don't care how much I am home. Only thing I gotta go home for is to get the mail and mow the lawn.

Any responses would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance.
