The ruling class is concerned about terminal population decline. The ponzi scheme can't continue that way. For as long as any of us have been alive, it's always been a tale of unchained capitalism. Grow the economy, grow the population, bigger debt. Aside from occasional breaks called recessions this has always been the case. The shrinking population thing is a problem.

 

My son in law is a bio chemist with a large computer background. He was one of two men involved in his companies first robot designed to just flip over petri dishes of test cultures. After the other guy departed and their company was bough by a larger pharma firm; he is on a list of 'people we don't want to loose' and the parent company has now installed the same robot in another country and he goes there at least once a year. Future automation's will benefit from A/I and the amount of human interaction will change but somewhere and somehow people will always be involved.

 

I don't need AI since my wife already knows everything.

 

It doesn't surprise me at all. Those AIs have been passing the Exam Bar with flying colors.A chatbot trained on the law volumes is an attorney's best friend.

 

So basically what’s coming is we all lose our jobs and go hungry while AI does our work? Basically a third world country surrounded by technology. I think we’ll end up having the poor and the super rich by the time it’s all over. At least I know where I’ll be at. Been poor all my life.

Me too. So it’ll be entertaining watching the people who they’re rich go poor, and lose their minds.

 

Actually it’s the white collar segment that is going to be replaced by AI.
