When used in combination with a quality truck GPS like the Garmin dezi or Rand tablet Google maps comes in handy because you can look at 360 degree pictures of where you are going. Between the 2 and using the phone number you can find anyplace. I'm old school so I still like calling the consignee.

So using sygic in conjunction with Google maps might work too, but only using Google maps to get a visual outlay on the place.
I have been using sygic truck for several months and I think it's right up there with rand trucking gps -
I know one of the other dump truck drivers was using Google maps as primary navigation because she can't afford the 500 bucks, I showed her what I use. Yes the dump truck driver in question is a woman. We have two women dump truckers in the company

I agree with a lot of others. Some of these companies were better companies.Schneider had a union side for example called Schneider transport same trucks you just had to look for the transport instead of the national on the side box.Tmc was very hard to get on with Even companies like national carrier had a waiting list for guys to lease there.

Ted Kennedy, wrote and sponsored the deregulation of the trucking industry. No small irony the democrat that can't handle his drink and keep his car on the bridge, forever changing the trucking industry.
The Kennedy's have had it out for Jimmy Hoffa, and the teamsters, since Hoffa made fools out of JFK and Bobby in Senate hearings in the 1950s.
Kennedy's 'justification' for deregulation was that trucking is sufficiently unionized at that time to protect the worker and no worker provisions are needed. Of course he was putting the screws to Hoffa, though weakening the teamsters. However, Hoffa became "missing" before deregulation took affect.
Regan sped up the downfall of unions and trucking with busting the air traffic controller's strike and crushing the National Labor Relations Board. But, the Kennedys and Carter did the deregulation that left trucking in the state it is in today.
