It's a hard pill to swallow. -

I sure hope (s)he reads this part and thoroughly understands what has been written. I'm no better than the next person, try and help when ever I can, and use my God given experience I've gathered over the last 31 years as a helping tool to such individuals who are in need. I will say, that when I had 1 year in driving I had far more questions than answers. Even today I have questions. I respect and agree with what you have said in this paragraph. I am on my 4th place of employment since I started driving in 1980. The first job I had was with CRE and lasted from Feb '80 to July of '90. Then I worked for a small owner operator that had 10 trucks that ran LTL from the 5 boroughs of the big city to the bay area and back. I did that from July '90 to Oct '01. After that I worked for a mom and pop outfit hauling cars from South Florida to all points north from Nov '01 to July '09. I am at my current job since Aug '09. The reason I write this? I get tired of reading about new drivers that somehow feel a sense of entitlement when they get their CDL.
I have read countless stories here and in other forums about whats wrong with company x, company y and others, no one forced you into applying at a certain trucking company, if your background is from the Law field then you of all people know what the phrase "Due Diligence" means. You had the choice to go to any number of companies to work, you chose Werner, you failed in some aspect, now it's a witch hunt to write on a blog about something I have seen and read countless times over the years. Like some have told you, bring them to court. These companies don't care about you, me or the next person in line to fill a seat. It is our job as experienced drivers to spread the word about a company, the good and the bad and let someone looking to get into this field of employment make an honest decision if they want to go work for company x, y or z.k7tkr Thanks this. -
You can rant all you want, and I wish you the best in changing the industry as I would welcome a higher salary myself. -
You are guessing wrong. -

1. all things remain the same?
2. because you didn't experience a situation it therefore doesn't/couldn't exist?
Have you done any research to determine whether the accusations put forth are fact or fiction?
Or, are you content with thinking you're assessment of the situation is correct, --- an opinion?
Just a hunch.
Interesting.
Maybe if we all just ignore what's goin' on things will change for the better.
Or silence those who point out the wrongs so the companies don't get mad and get worse to get even.
All that's needed for evil to flourish is for good people to remain silent.

Those few members in this forum who have been attempting to insult me and have been truck driving for 15+ yrs and 23+ yrs, this message is for you.
Your years of experience and expertise in the truck driving profession are very impressive and (hopefully) you've been paid very well.
However, if you have worked (long haul truck driving) 15+ yrs and 23+ yrs for slave wages, doesn't mean the rest of us are going to sit back, drive and just accept it the way you did.
Maybe you lost your investments; or worse, maybe, you lost your time all those years working for slave wages and unreliable dispatchers who were paid commissions for all your work.
The fact you worked for slave wages for 15+ yrs and 23+ yrs is not impressive.
...But, I will never insult any of you...in my opinion, if you have been working for Werner and/or C.R. England for 15+ yrs and 23+ yrs...you've been insulted enough. -
Insulting others is forbidden in the rules, please keep this in mind.
