I had 2 tickets in the summer of 2008
(1)speeding which was acquitted and
(2)following too close which was dismissed
I informed my cdl school
and
Werners enterprises recruiter her name is Lisa
of my 2 resolved offenses they had to have a review board view my case and they found in my favor.
So at this point I was starting my training - this is a 300 hour training and i was getting paid $350 aweek.after 250 hours and 2 trainers I was called into a Werner terminal and was told to meet with safety.
Safety called the corporate office in Omaha Ne and Scott director of applications asked why i didn't put these tickets on my application and the application only asked for current ticket and which these weren't.
So for not putting this non current tickets in the current ticket portion of the application Scott told me i was terminated and he hung up the phone -- with no chance to explane the issue.
I invested a lot of time and money in a new career
WERNER DOES NOT CARE !!!!!!
Werner Fired me as a student for no reason

I'm sorry to hear that but I thought most applications required you list tickets 3 years prior. But at the same time both of those on 2008 does not seem they would show up on your DMV record... strange. It sucks to be fired, been there. I'm sure something better will come along, hang in there.
videomike Thanks this. -
Most companies will need / want to know about any and all tickets within the last 3 years (their definition of current, some even want 5 years) no matter what there disposition was.
When you put the tickets down include their disposition. Make sure you still have paper trail to be able to prove to companies that this is what is. -
Please try to back up and get this straightened out,,,,,,,,,,
Whatever it takes, try your hardest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Otherwise, this will hinder you, in driving for another company.
Good Luck !!!!!!!JustSonny Thanks this. -
....is to list any or all of your traffic offenses, because even if they are no longer on your DMV report, they will still likely be listed in a background report. Case in point - I got a D.U.I. in my car about 19 years ago. It has long since disappeared from my DMV, but it still shows up on the background, so if an application asks "have you EVER been cited for a D.U.I", the only honest answer I can give is yes.

Use this as a lesson that trucking sucks and that you need to look into another line of work.

Most 4 point violations will stay on your MVR for 5 years, 3 point for 3 years. But if they ask "Have you had any moving violations in the last 3 years"? I would not list them, and if its questioned, you can say that you honestley have not had any in the last 3 years, you had one within the last 5, but none in the last 3. (actually, 2008 is only 2 years, so you would still have to list it. and depending on the month, 2007 is still less than 3 years)

I was fired too but for having 3 speeding tickets in 09 and a 4th from 07 but I got a copy of my driving record a few weeks after I was fired and well I only have my ticket 07 on there and found out the the other states I got them in as long as I paid the tickets and they were 5 miles or less over they didnt report them back to my home state but of course they listed on dac I was fired for safety issues for tickets and it was extremly hard but I found a company that would hire me.
