I'd like to hear from anyone that has info about current training in Atlanta.
I had two different recruiters(My application was "Pre-Approved" lol) on the phone with conflicting/contradicting things to offer me this week.
One consistent thing is $350.00($50.00 per day) for 8 weeks........also I was told all trucks are 9-speed.
When do they actually check the driving record and your work history?
What about the passport for Canada?
Does anyone have anything to say about the electronic log system?
Thanks!![]()

I'll add I have a class A CDL with Hazmat/Tank and double/triple endorsement.
The TWIC is in the process, I trained at a Community College that Werner approves of. -
When I ran with Werner, $350/wk is the pay. Training used to be 4-6 weeks, but they've been extending it to keep the trainees on the trainer's truck to run team for a few weeks (you'll be doing that pretty much right out the door anyway, so I hope you can sleep in a moving truck).
Yes, they do check your driving and employment record. Don't lie about nothing, or you will be sent home and have your DAC dinged. Bad start to a career.
If you're legal for Canada, you will go to Canada. Make sure you have all the required legal paperwork to cross the border. You can not refuse a Canadian load unless you have a legal reason (criminal record that prohibits you from operating a CMV in Canada).
The E-logs were the best thing from a not so good outfit, in my opinion. They saved me time, and kept me legal. They also proved that I could make money while running legal, provided I could get dispatched to run the way I prefer to run, which is fairly hard.
