Well I have already seen Mexican wheel holders here in the states. They clog up the fuel island because they can not speak english and also are some of the dumbest drivers on the highway. They are worse than a JB HUNT rookie !! Just a week or two ago they found 500 hundred people jammed into a trailer headed to the states. What do you call a
Mexican team driver?? SOLO driver going back to mexico.. LMAO

I'm still more worried about RVers than I am about Mexican truckers.
This nonsense of "pin the tail on the political party"... aside from belonging in the politics thread, it's redundant. Both parties have done their part here. Don't even get me started on the rampant hypocrisy which comes into play when the political aspect of this gets discussed. It's like listening to Christians on the CB whining that Islam was spread by the sword.
That being said, I've hauled into Canada before, but this was some eight years ago since I've been... I don't know what may or may not have changed since. Don't recall having many problems, though. In fact, I found the customs officials and four wheelers in Ontario much more tolerable and courteous than in any US state.
But I'm with those who wouldn't take a truck into Mexico. Period.
I don't know the Mexican trucking industry, so I can't attest to the competence or lack thereof of their drivers. Looking at the lack thereof of a lot of US drivers, it makes me less worried about the Mexicans.

When did Mexico allow US drivers in? Last I remember was US owned trucks could operate inside Mexico if driven by a Mexican National...

All you have to do is drive along I-35,I-10,I-20,I-30,I-40,I-55,I-57,I-59,And I-81. The Mexican drivers already here legally or otherwise, block drives, give you the little gang signs when you pass, yes even going to flea markets buying guns to carry back to protect their gang families. Does the shutdown of swifts driving school and the crooked driver license scam with Tennessee, ring any bells? What started the investagation was a illegal driving a swift truck getting stopped and guns found in the trailer on their way back to mexico.

the way i see it if a truck from mexico drops a load off and picks up a load , that second load will affect us. i can seei t now " sorry no loads today, they are all headed to mexico" OH WAITE we don't make anything anymore to export so what will we be sending TO mexico?
most manufactureing has allready left this country. Maybe we should all rally around the flag and hold protests and boycot certain companys. the reality is that Big Buisness runs the world and China, India and other up and comeing economys are takeing the lead.

Untill we as a nation start to take care of our own interests and negotiate better trade agreements we will be at the mercy of the WTO and become the supper power of the 3rd world.

yes folks I'm not that concerned over mexico and canada. China on the other hand?

thank god i like the food:biggrin_2551:

Actually, if you spent as much time researching the actual manufacturing output of the US compared to the rest of the world as you do listening to common myths, you would realize that the US is still the largest manufacturing country in the world. Yep, that's right. Check it out for yourself. The stats are out there for all to see. Sure, China is rapidly moving up on us, but they haven't gotten there yet. And you seem to forget that we are still the largest exporter in the world in agricultural products. And we are still quite competetive in exporting of many other products as well. You are basing your opinions on what you have heard from others and what you see at Walmart.

Sure, there has been a lot of manufacturing that has left the US, but we are still have the largest manufacturing base of any nation. That is just cold, hard fact. I wouldn't have believed it myself, since I am subject to the same misconceptions about China, Mexico, etc as everyone else. After I did a little checking though, I found out that these ideas that we have lost most or all of our manufacturing is just plain nonsense.

Sure, mega plants are fewer, but there is far more smaller manufacturing operations than ever before. You might call it "streamlining". Instead of one corporation having city sized manufacturing facilities, they decided to concentrate on what they do best and have other smaller facilities manufacture what they need. That way each entity can concentrate on what it does best. But, nonetheless, we still have the largest manufacturing base in the world.

It would be much larger, for sure, if Government would get out of the way and allow business' to expand and do what they do, instead of imposing more and more regulation that causes stagnation.

I'm sorry, but there is no place for truth, facts or honest discussion in a hysterics-based thread. I think that earns you something like 100 infraction points.

What is it with you leftist. Everything is answered and justified by screaming racism. Only a typical freaking blank would give such a response to people who are concerned about preserving the sovereignty of their country and following the rule of law.

.23 a mile and free health care. Heck sounds like Mexico is a good deal.

Then why are they dieing like flies in the desert trying to get across the border, if it is so great in Mexico?

Time to put that Obama sign down and get caught up on current events before you pop tall anymore and continue the lowering of the combined IQ of this forum.

By the way, robbing peter to pay Paul does not make something free. nothing is free. If you ever have a lucid moment again you will have a light bulb go off in your head and hopefully figure that out
