No I'm saying that the trainer tested him and didn't give him excellent grades and the trainer said he could refuse it and have 'Werner' test him but that Werner's test would be much harder because they are looking to fail drivers.
I was just wondering if that was true, if he got retested by Werner, do they makes their tests impossibly hard?

That is pure bull. Werner is not out to fail drivers. If they were to increase standards, safety would be doing all the tests. Trainers are not special. They are just drivers who want to increase their income. They don't get extensive specialized training and are not held to a higher standard. They don't have a
better relationships with management or anything else. They are just drivers.
Here's a hint. Tell your bf to accept the marks and carry on. If he is that sensitive about fairness he is getting into the wrong profession. -
Here is another tidbit. There is no requirement for the trainer to formally test a student. The assessment can be accomplished as a matter of routine performance.

Thanks for all the input.
Sorry is my posts are a little disjointed, me and my bf are going through this for the first time with really no information provided by Werner or the trainer.
We had thought that since yesterday he was up on his 300 hours and the trainer had tested him that he was going to the terminal/hotel in PA to do paperwork and wait out his teammate and a truck.
But yesterday they just had him driving all day and didn't get him to the hotel till midnight. Him and his trainer are on such bad terms that even though the hotel room had 2 beds the trainer chose to sleep in the truck. Whatever, it just made it more comfortable for my bf.
I spoke to my bf when he got to the hotel last night and he has no idea what's going to happen. When he asked the trainer what happens next he told him to ask the hotel!
The hotel has a shuttle that will take him to the terminal. (This is in Allentown, PA).
The only thing my bf sort of knows is that once at the terminal he has paper work to do, he may get tested by Werner themselves and that his truck is 'red flagged'. We don't even know what that means. He's also heard that it's def. he will get to team with who he wants.
I not even knocking Werner at this point, besides them not being very informative they have been fine. It has been his horrible, intimidating, incompetent trainer that me and the bf both have a problem with.
And my bf does plan to tell Werner if given the chance) how horrible this guy was. -
He is given a blue form to critque his trainer. That is what it's for.

My best advice to you is to not make waves. Trainers can ruin a driver if you push them too far. If the trainer is willing to pass him at all consider it a blessing becuase your BF's performance for the next 6 months can have an effect on the person who passes him. If he is getting 2s that means he has room for improvement. Dont take it personal, no one is perfect after only 300 hours of training. Just tell him to get in his truck and consider it a learning experiance and move on. After all he IS getting what he was after and that was to get into his own truck. Training new drivers is an excessively stressful experiance, you should consider that before complaining too much.

Yes the bf did fill out the evaluation sheet.
It seems in the end that the 2's did not matter so much. Yesterday morning, I think by 11 am he got to the terminal, filled out paperwork, did some tests, did a lot of waiting and by 3pm they had a assigned him a truck.
He got to inspect it, it was filthy and still had personal effects, like pillows and stuff, from the previous driver but my bf is a neat freak so he's gonna hose it down as soon as he has a chance.
His buddy/teammate still has 20 hours left to go and Werner told my bf they'd give him a different truck when he met up with his partner. I guess one with more room?
There was still the issue of my bf not having his atlas, extra clothes, etc. because he had not been home in 2 weeks.
So they gave him till Friday to get his affairs in order. We are very thankful of that because he got to come home last night and relax and he has today to pack properly and tomorrow afternoon he heads back up to his truck to run his first load solo.
Not sure of the details about what happens when his teammate is finally done training but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.... -
I'll be finishing my 300 BTW in the next couple weeks & I'm hoping to get right into a truck and making money.. a dedicated account would be great if available.

did Werner have the virtual truck simulator like on the website??
