Explain to me how you're working while you are sleeping?
vaquero, what exactly do you do if you're going 65 and want to pass a truck doing 62? You probably give it enough throttle to actually pass them without impeding traffic, don't you? Don't even try to tell me that you just slow down, because eventually you'll be driving backwards with the way some people out there drive....That's why I don't like governed trucks. I wouldn't drive 90mph all day if i owned my own truck, but i wouldnt impede traffic like an ### all day either, like i have to now. I especially hate when i have a light load and try to pass someone heavy, and then they just let the weight pull them to way beyond the speed limit when they start goign down. So i end up hving to pass them repeatedly. Talk about obnoxious!
By the way, why is it that the truck is considered out of control if its not in gear, because you can't accelerate it, but it's somehow different if the truck can only do the speed limit? I drive an out of control truck all day, by the same definition that will cause you to fail a roadtest.

Watch my third video. In it I explain why you are working 24/7. The links are below. After you watch the video, come back and we will discuss it.
Most trucks are governed for two reasons - 1 - to reduce fuel consumption and 2 - to reduce insurance costs and risk of an accident.

The commentary while standing next to the viagra clock!! Priceless!
Keep up the videos, im enjoying them. -
So Mark, are you off the road forever? That Eric Clapton song in #3 almost had a Bad Company feel to it.
Heart troubles are scarey. I never have been a smoker or heavy into drinking. -
My "highway hero" was talking to one of his trucker friends. Says there is 300+ brand new Internationals at the Atlanta yard. I guess one of them is mine

Your video is ready for Cannes. They probably would not grasp its significance. It has my vote.

I won't go back out OTR. I might do local. But, without the necessary experience even that is unlikely. Right now I am trying to get back into my original line of work. It's financially more lucarative and let's me be home at night. I am planning on retiring soon anyway.
Thanks for the comments on the videos. I was just getting into the groove when I did the third one. I was looking forward to revealing more of the truth to wannabes and entertaining the rest. I am thinking of doing some social commentary. Lord knows there are plenty of issues that make you question the sanity of allowing everyone to vote. -
A few things I like to ask about Werner
1. Does any one know if they let you have a rider
2. DO they use stick or automatic transmission or borth once agin sorry about my spelling and gramer -
There is no way in hell you are ever going to get me to believe i am working 24/7, because i am NOT. And im at home right now, i bet you want me to believe im still working, right?
-
Yes on the rider and all stick transmissions, 9 and 10 speeds depending on the make of the truck.
